Wings & Wheels – Sunday 31st August 2025
The Guernsey Aero Club will be holding its annual
Wings and Wheels Open Day on Sunday 31 st August, 2025.
This will be open to the public from 10.00am to 4.30pm.

The event is designed for families giving ‘opportunities’ not normally available to them and has
proved a very popular event.
Car parking at £1 per car will be at the Forest and Le Rondin Schools only a short walk away.

Entry at only £1 per person.
In the Wheels section to view in the car parks, it provides a large number of unusual Super cars,
Vintage, & Classic cars, Rally & Racing Cars, Military vehicles, Tractors and a large selection of motor
bikes (new and Classic.
In the Wings section, provides an unusual opportunity for the apron to be fenced off from the
airport, enabling public airside access to the hangar and apron to view a variety of aircraft.
- The aircraft list is close to being finalised and will including kit-built and home-built, a variety of general aviation aircraft of varying ages, and also a corporate aircraft, Some aircraft will have pilot/owners with them to talk to
- There will also be the Channel Island Air Search Islander with crews, and the popular JUNIOR JOEY
- Guernsey Flying Training Ltd will be present with their Piper Warrior and Instructors to talk to.
- In the hangar in addition to aircraft, there will also be The Guernsey Model Club whose members will be present with a variety of aircraft including some taxing demonstrations on the apron. They also propose having a Drone flying.
- We plan to have ‘pop up’ busking music in the car park and on the apron at intervals during the day.
- In the Club building there will be themed die-cast aircraft and airport model displays on the ground floor.
- Refreshments will be available in and around the Club. The popular lunchtime BarBQ. All day on the first floor Teas, Coffees and a huge selection of the now famous Homemade cakes, in addition the bar will be open.
- Ice-creams also available all day from the vendor in the car park.
- The first floor Club room and large balcony provides excellent views across and down the length of the runway and taxiways, when many aircraft movements can be enjoyed.
- On the day there will also be a raffle with some special prizes to be won
